Scandinavian style in the interior is simplicity and comfort, ease and convenience, functionality and attractive appearance. In the Scandinavian countries, winters are cold and very long, so it is not surprising that the inhabitants of northern Europe reflected in their dwellings what they saw around - snow-white expanses and light interspersed with natural material - wood of various species. But bright interior items, contrasting combinations, colorful furniture elements or textile decoration in such bright rooms are simply necessary. For example, wall decor does not take up space, but is able to radically change the external image of a room. Bright artwork on a snow-white background looks the most impressive, expressive.

Another example of the active use of the Scandinavian style in room decoration is animal skins, pieces of natural, but more often synthetic (yet Europe is actively fighting to refuse to kill animals) fur, as a reminder of the times when the use of animal skins was the only way to survive the winter.

Some rooms in the apartment have an irregular shape, bay windows, bevels in planes or just nooks of space. For such rooms, snow-white decoration is just a godsend that allows not only to visually expand the space, but also to hide the imperfections of the architecture, and allows not to focus on the asymmetry and unevenness of the rooms.

From the spacious hall we go into the living room - a small room with the same snow-white walls and similar flooring. Scandinavian style is not for those. who would like to demonstrate luxury and wealth. This style is for practical people who believe that the functionality of any interior item is primary. This is a style for homeowners who are confident that a cozy and comfortable living room is a comfortable sofa, a pair of armchairs and a low table. You can also add a couple of floor lamps so that in the room you can not only talk and relax after a hard day, but also read a book or just spend time in the family circle, creating a more intimate atmosphere using local light sources. Well, for a variety of decor in the living room, to eliminate associations with a sterile operating room, it is easiest to use a bright or contrasting wall decor. A colorful picture of a large size or a whole composition of artwork united by a common concept will become not only a bright addition to the arrangement of the room, but also a highlight of the living room interior.

The kitchen space also has a snow-white color palette. The boiling white color of the finish and execution of the facades of kitchen cabinets is diluted only with dark spots of household appliances and wall decor. For a long and fairly narrow room, the parallel layout of the storage systems, work surfaces and household appliances has become the best option for arranging the kitchen space.

Next, consider private rooms and look into a small bedroom designed for one person. It is not surprising that this small and rather narrow room has a snow-white finish and is furnished very modestly. As contrasting accents, it is easiest to use textiles. Windows in Scandinavian-style interiors are often not draped at all, or white translucent tulle is used to decorate them. So, for the brightness and contrast in the textile, the design of the berth and additional furniture remains.

Bright decorative pillows, a colorful print of the upholstery of a small pouf, and a picture as a wall decor - that’s all that violates the snow-white idyll of a small bedroom.

In the second bedroom there was enough space for a double bed, but nothing more. Once again, minimalism, modesty and comfort prevail over excess and embellishment. Only wall decor is available in rooms with such a modest quadrature.

Next to the bedrooms there is a bathroom, of course, with an interior in white tones. The snow-white finish of the walls and ceiling is interspersed with ceramic tiles in dark beige colors of the planes with the highest level of moisture exposure - on the floor and in the space of the shower.

White decoration and execution of furniture not only visually expand the boundaries of the bathroom, but also help create a really bright, light and fresh image of the room. But it is precisely these qualities that we expect from a utilitarian space for water procedures.
